INTERVIEWS WITH TJ WALKER @ MEDIA TRAINING WORDWIDE

SO YOU ASK, WHAT'S PRSA DONE FOR ME AND WHY I GIVE BACK?

McCain's Media Flub -- "Deer in the Headlights"

I agree with the TV pundits (both Republican and Democratic), McCain breaks all the rules in this video. Here are just a few of his mistakes:
  • Was simply not prepared and did not think ahead.
  • Had poor body language and tone of voice. Rule #1, don't squirm
  • Didn't Listen to the question
  • Was downright evasive and did not even try to answer the questions or try to deliver a message. (And if you can't answer, tell the reporter why, but be enthusiastic, composed and confident about it.)
  • Was not eager to tell his story and it showed. (Willing to be interviews vs. eager to tell you story)
  • Did not have an agenda or message. Without an agenda or message you will quickly lose control of the interview.
  • Lost opportunity to bridge to health care issues overall
  • Did not show empathy and was not engaging

PRSA Starts Clean & Fair Campaign Facebook Group

Jone the PRSA's facebook Group, Clean and Fair Elections.

By joining this group, you’re telling the political campaigns, 527 Groups, political operatives, and media covering the U.S. presidential election that you want a clean and fair campaign in 2008. This group emerges from the principles of ethical communications put forth by the Code of Ethics of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Tell the political campaigns, 527 Groups, political operatives, and media that:

- I want accurate, truthful and transparent information that will allow informed decision making.

- I want healthy and fair competition and an ethical climate fostering a robust political environment.

- I want confidential and private information protected.

- I want all those involved in the campaigns to avoid real, potential or perceived conflicts of interest.

- I want the campaigns to strengthen trust in the United States of America and its electoral process.

IF YOU EMBRACE THESE CONCEPTS, JOIN OUR GROUP AND INVITE ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS.
